Emma Corby

Hello! My name is Emma, and I’m an aspiring writer, in the constant search for anything that sparks my interest and invites me to delve into the depths of its past and present. I love living moments, and later writing about them to share the experiences with other people. I’m a rising senior at the University of Connecticut, and (fun fact!) I am on the Division I Swimming & Diving team. I’m undergoing an English undergrad degree, with grad school on my agenda. I’m from Pittsford, New York, which is a cute little suburb outside of Rochester in Upstate New York, just over an hour away from Canada. Also, if you take a close look at my wrist in the photo above, you’ll notice the watch tan that I have carried with me (perhaps a little too proudly) for a very long time. Growing up, I watched my father work harder than anybody I’ve ever known to grow our family business. He runs a dairy and bakery, with an ice cream parlor and café right inside, all in a beautiful building made entirely of wood. Everything at Pittsford Farms Dairy is homemade, so I am totally spoiled when it comes to good ice cream! Reading has always been one of my favorite ways to pass time, and studying English at school will always be the best decisions I have ever made.
