Dirt Candy, 86 Allen St, New York City, is a vegetarian restaurant worth seeing if you’re in the city. It originally opened its doors in May 2008, and since then, it has risen in popularity among travelers and locals alike. As a result, it’s usually busy here; students, travelers from many countries, and locals who maintain a healthy diet may all be found.

There are no typical dishes provided there; instead, the author’s cuisine is served, with meat being replaced with vegetarian fare. Customers regularly order tomato cakes with smoked feta cheese and pad thai at restaurants.

Thai literally translates to “Thai-style fried noodles.” Patch, a balanced combination of four basic flavors: sour (vinegar, lime), spicy (chili), sweet (sugar), and salted (salt), completes the whole harmony of Thai cuisine (salt, soy or fish sauce).

The recipe varies by province in Thailand, but fresh herbs, spices, and, of course, rice noodles are always present. It’s worth noting that Dirt Candy received its first Michelin star in 2010 and was rated one of the top 10 best vegetarian restaurants in the city by the world-famous New York Times magazine in 2012.

Lasagna with Blossoms

This ancient Italian dish is from Bologna and is claimed to be the oldest type of pasta. Lasagna is composed up of sauce, vegetables, cheese, meat, and other ingredients layered between layers of wide and flat pasta. The term ‘lasagna’ refers to the cooking pot used to produce this dish.

It all began with a small restaurant in Chelsea, and now there are three Blossom restaurants and a bakery in New York, 187 9th Avenue, New York City, New York, USA, 10011-4906.

Other vegetarian specialties inspired by the best Italian traditions include mushroom Kalamari with spicy Arabjatta sauce, ravioli with cashew cream and smoked temp, lasagna with tapioca, fried eggplant, and tofu marinara.
